The chants, slur and abuse he harbored was the beginning of my liberty. The three wise men (A.K.A. biblical Magi), seeing a new star were ecstatic and so they journeyed from the East to Jerusalem with one mission—to see their King—The King of the Jews.
The Jews did not know, neither did the Gentiles know that he had arrived.
The religious leaders did not know this too.
Herod, the King, did not know and when he did, he wrestled with the fact that another with power and authority which seemed somewhat greater than what he had, existed.
He lied, massacred thousands and pursued this baby Jesus relentlessly.
The circumstances surrounding the birth of Christ was a pointer to the prophesies that had come.
“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel”
The prophesy had been fulfilled. “The word” had come; to live, to dine and to teach us the way. An evidently imperfect being, like me, has been made whole because he chose to die the most gruesome death.
It took his death to win.
It took his pain to win.
And now, I AM FREE.
Today, 10/04/20 is my birthday and I am so happy that it is also, Good Friday. I dedicate this awesome day to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I thank him for his unfailing love. I feel blessed. Enjoy your Easter ya’ll.
